FACES OF DOWNTOWN

For this project, I had the rare opportunity to close down a major street in my town and turn it into an open-air studio. I wanted to capture the people who make up the heart of the community, everyday workers, business owners, and residents who live and breathe the energy of my town. With the street empty of traffic, the focus was entirely on them, their personalities, their stories, and the way they interact with the space they call home. This project was about more than just portraits; it was about connection. I wanted to strip away distractions and showcase these individuals in an environment they know so well but see in a completely new way. The result? A series of authentic, unscripted moments that reflect the character and spirit of the community.
